Alan Robinowitz, CEO
Owner
Alan graduated from Sharon High School and attended Penn State University. He worked in the Mercer County prison as well as held the position of Mercer County Deputy Coroner. Alan cofounded Rainbow Recovery Center in 2008 because he is passionate about helping the recovery community and understood the benefits of medication assisted treatment. He has strong ties to the area and wanted to be part of the solution in addiction treatment. He continues to reside in the county with his wife and 3 children and enjoys family outings and watching his children play sports.
Scott Joyce, CRNP
Owner
Scott Joyce graduated from Sharpville School District. After high school he went on to earn his Bachelors degree in nursing from Pennsylvania State University. At Kent University he earned a Masters in Nursing. Scott then earned a Post-Masters degree in Family Nursing from Gannon University. He joined Primary Health Network in November 2000 as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner providing family health services. Scott’s devotion to helping others is innate but his dedication to the recovery community was spurred by loss he suffered of a family member who struggled with addiction. He felt it necessary to open Rainbow Recovery Center to make a difference. Scott enjoys hunting and spending time with his wife and two children and continues to reside in the Mercer County area.
Kelly Donatelli, BS
Clinical Director
Kelly Donatelli is a Sharon native, as a graduate in 1990. Following high school, she attended the University of Pittsburgh, graduating in 1994 earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology. In the 1990’s, she began her work in the mental health field at Belmont Pines, working with children and adolescents. In 1996, Kelly began working in drug and alcohol at the Behavioral Health Commission, completing D/A assessments and CRN evaluations for adults needing treatment placement. Shifting her focus from assessment and evaluation to a therapeutic setting in 1998; she began her work as an addiction’s counselor at Discovery House in Hermitage. Kelly worked in the capacity of primary counselor, advancing to lead counselor, and finally clinical supervisor all while at Discovery House. For a period, Kelly took a hiatus from the professional field to focus on rearing her children, while working as a notary public/closing agent and licensed PA land title agent. In 2008, she rejoined the workforce at Rainbow Recovery Center as a counselor prior to becoming the Project Director in 2009, a position she continues to hold.
Scott D. Morgan, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Morgan graduated from the Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1993. He completed his residency at Southside Medical Center. Dr. Morgan works in Mercer, PA and specializes in Family Medicine and General Practice. He is affiliated with Steward Medical Group. He joined Rainbow Recovery Center from the beginning of its existence in 2008 and continues to provide compassionate and understanding care to his patients. He is happiest when he is spending time with his wife and their children. Dr. Morgan also enjoys fishing and technology.
Susan Thomas, BSW
Administrative Assistant
Susan graduated from West Middlesex High School and went on to earn a Bachelors in Social Work from Youngstown State University. While in college she worked with Developmentally Disabled Individuals at Diversified Family Services. She began working in addiction treatment as an intake worker at Laurel Wood Center in Mississippi. She then returned to the Mercer County area as a social worker for Golden Hill Nursing home. When her son was born she opted to focus on her family, while still fostering a total of 17 children throughout her foster parent career, one of which she adopted. She has been employed at Rainbow Recovery Center since 2009, first as a Counselor and then she was promoted to Clinical Supervisor. Her hobbies include gardening, going to flea markets, crafts, boating and fishing.
Shari Vansickle, LPN
Nurse Manager
Shari graduated from Greenville High School. She obtained her CNA Certification and practiced at Whitecliff Nursing Home and then St. Paul’s Nursing Home. She then went on to UPMC Greenville, starting as a CNA and then a CNA/HUC. Shari decided to return to school to obtain her LPN at Mercer County Career Center and worked for a family practice for a short while before joining the Rainbow Recovery Center team in 2009. She recently married her soul mate and together they share 6 children and 12 grandchildren. She enjoys music, dancing, and having her family around her.
Tracy Weimer, MS
Clinical Supervisor/Outreach Coordinator
Tracy is a Mercer County native who graduated from Hickory high school and raised her son in the valley. Tracy earned her bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Pennsylvania State University. She went on to earn her Masters degree at Youngstown State University in Health and Human Services Administration. Tracy has worked in the social service field for more than 20 years including Mercer County Children and Youth Services, Diversified Family Services, and Associates in Counseling and Child Guidance. Nearly ten of those years have been in drug and alcohol counseling. She has been employed at Rainbow Recovery Center since 2011 as a substance abuse counselor and outreach coordinator, providing individual and group counseling and educating the community on addiction and Medication Assisted Treatment. She is the Treasurer for Mercer County Coalition for Drug Awareness (MCCDA), which she was invited to join in 2016, and a cofounder of ROAR Center, developed through MCCDA. Tracy is also a member of the Addiction Action Team and Overdose Prevention board. She actively works with other area agencies to make change in Mercer County. Tracy enjoys spending time with her husband, Tom, and their family, including 2 grandchildren. She likes to travel, cook, and attend concerts and shows.
Kevin Gault, BA
Primary Counselor
Kevin has lived in the New Wilmington area for most of his life. He graduated from West Middlesex High School and Edinboro University with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. Kevin has previously worked in Juvenile Corrections at New Castle Youth Development Center and has been employed at Rainbow Recovery Center as a Counselor since 2013. He loves all sporting and outdoor activities and can often be found at the lake fishing or hiking in the woods.
Casey Nicklin, BS/CADC
Primary Counselor
Casey is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Communications with a Minor in Sociology. He is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor through Pennsylvania Certification Board. Casey has worked with Rainbow Recovery Center since 2011 with a brief absence and stint in South Carolina where he was also employed as a DOA counselor. Casey also has a history of working as a case manager at George Junior Republic. He is a dedicated father and lives and active lifestyle. He continues to reside in the area with his fiance and their 2 children. He enjoys annual trips to the Atlantic Coast.
Crystal O’Meara, BA/CDCA
Primary Counselor
Crystal O’Meara is currently a Substance Abuse Counselor at Rainbow Recovery Center. Prior to that, she worked in the area of Special Needs and has worked in the field of Addiction at a Residential Recovery Center. Crystal graduated from Kent State University with a Dual Bachelor’s in Psychology and Sociology. Crystal also attended Flying High Inc where she gained her certificate in Chemical Dependency Counseling (CDCA.) She is currently working toward earning her Graduate degree for Clinical Mental Health Counseling and her Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Tier Level IV. Crystal enjoys getting to know her patients and looks forward to working with each of them. In her spare time, Crystal enjoys running, reading and spending time with her family.
